Redmond and Company LLC, was founded in 1999. Principal John C Redmond, CPA grew up in Painesville, Ohio and graduated from Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, Ohio.  

 

John furthered his education at Ohio Northern University where he graduated in 1984 from the school’s College of Business with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with majors in Accounting and Management.

 

He obtained his CPA certificate while working in the audit department of the Toledo, Ohio office of KPMG.

 

In 1987, John returned to his Lake County roots working for a regional accounting firm until he left and started his own firm in 1999. Today Redmond and Company services a variety of closely held businesses and individuals in Lake and surrounding counties. The firm provides income tax planning and return preparation and consults on a wide variety of strategic issues.

 

John is more than a CPA.

 

He volunteers his time in a variety of ways.  A 1992 graduate of Leadership Lake County, John also served a three-month term in 2003 as Foreman of the Lake County Grand Jury.

 

Currently, John serves on the Board of Park Commissioners for Lake Metroparks.  He recently concluded a four-year term as Chairman of the Advisory Board at Lake Catholic High School in June 2023.

 

Prior volunteer positions included terms on Laketran (Board VP); United Way of Lake County (Board Treasurer); Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce (Board President); Birthright of Lake County (Board President and Treasurer); Catholic Service Bureau of Lake County (Board Treasurer); Leadership Lake County (Board Treasurer); Salvation Army – Lake County Unit (Board Treasurer)
